Randall Museum Friends Update – Winter 2019
I’m thrilled to introduce myself as the Randall Museum Friends new Executive Director. I have been a frequent visitor, a member, and a longtime fan of this amazing gem. I feel honored and prepared to take on this role.
Just like many of you, I found the Randall when my children were younger. I couldn’t believe how lucky I was to access this local treasure every week for FREE. Every Saturday my little Noah would toddle in to the Animal Room to meet the gopher snake and ask Nancy Ellis, “Snake…can I touch?” Then we would wander downstairs to eagerly wait for his turn to run the trains. Bug Days, Craft Days and special events featured prominently on our calendar.
My work has always been building community and growing resources to make sure everyone has access to the arts. Now that we are in this beautifully renovated space, it’s my pleasure and good fortune to continue the progress of so many people before me and do my part to make this jewel shine even brighter!
That’s where you come in: Make a donation. Keep attending our classes. Be a lifelong learner. Attend a lecture or be crafty again. Bring your kids and grandchildren to this wonderful place. Visit the bees or the raccoon. Say ‘hi’ and introduce yourself to us
I also encourage you sign up for our e-newsletter and follow us on social media for exciting and robust offerings at the museum (@randallmuseum). If you want to participate in our success, please do consider joining as a member of the Friends and help us keep the Randall affordable for all.
