”A Tradition of Making" exhibition

On Friday, September 14th, the Randall Museum hosted a reception and discussion with the Parkers, a 4-generation family of master basketmakers, on the opening of the Randall’s exhibition of native California basketry – “A Tradition of Making: California Native Basketry.”

The exhibit, currently on view in the Randall Museum’s lobby and gallery space, features woven baskets from the museum’s permanent collection, examined and selected by master weaver Julia Parker, as well as baskets lent from her family’s own collection.
