Corona Heights Grassland Habitat Restoration
Volunteer to help maintain and restore the magnificent Corona Heights natural area – the hill adjacent to the museum – overlooking the San Francisco Bay Area. This is a wonderful outdoor kids activity or family activity. Learn to identify California native plants that support wildlife, maintain trails, and learn about your San Francisco ecosystem.
Meet behind the museum at 10:00 am sharp, and bring your own gloves! For adults and teens; kids age 10 & up may volunteer if accompanied by a parent. Please RSVP, email recparkvolunteer@sfgov.org or call 415-831-6330 at least 2-3 days ahead if you are a first-time volunteer. Rain or shine.
- August’s Corona Heights ongoing project will be moved to the Golden Gate Park Nursery for August only. Meet at 100 Martin Luther King, cross street is Bowling Green Drive at 10am. September returns to business as usual.
- November date change. Due to the Thanksgiving Holiday, the volunteer event will occur on the third Saturday of the month annually every November instead of the last Saturday of the month. December returns to business as usual.

Animal Room Open Saturdays Only
Beginning the first week in September, the Randall Museum live animal exhibit at the Mission Arts Center will no longer be open on weekdays, only on Saturdays from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm.
