The Randall offers a variety of volunteer opportunities for teens and adults in the areas of animal docents, animal care, reception, administration and special events. Click on the links below to learn about specific volunteer opportunities for adults and teens. Contact information is included with each listing. Whatever your skills or interests, and however much time you can give, the Randall Museum will truly appreciate your help!
Current volunteer opportunities:
Animal Docents
Do you enjoy working with children and animals? Could you spare two or more weekday mornings a month to share your enthusiasm with San Francisco’s school children? If so, the Randall Museum needs you!
Teen Animal Care Program
Do you love animals? Did you ever wonder what a tortoise eats? Join the fun and become a Teen Animal Care Volunteer!
Reception/Administrative Volunteers
Help with our day-to-day operations. Tasks vary daily and include answering visitors’ questions in person and on the telephone, preparing occasional mailings, welcoming arriving school groups, and more.
Special Event Volunteers
Adult and teen volunteers are needed at our special family events, to help facilitate games, crafts, and other activities, and to help with set-up and clean-up.
