descriptions.
- The Randall Museum has a full season of fantastic summer camps for your child!
Camps include a wide range of hands-on science, art, technology, nature study, and physical
play. We provide an excellent 1:8 staff to camper ratio. Two-week day camps at the Randall
Museum are available for ages 6-12, separated into groups by age: 6-7, 8-9, & 10-12.
One-week sleep-away camps at Camp Mather near Yosemite National Park are offered for ages
10-12.
- To register for any summer camp, you must first create a family account in the San
Francisco Recreation and Park Department's registration system.
To create an account, visit
www.sfreconline.org. Once you have an account, you will be
able to register online 24/7 with a Visa or Mastercard.
Randall Museum Summer camp registrations require proof of age. Proof of
age is mandatory. If you established your
Family Account without showing proof of your child's age, you must do so by
April 15th or you will be removed from the summer camp list. You will also
be charged a 20% processing fee. Please provide proof of age in the form
of a copy of a birth certificate, passport or medical ID card with full
birthdate, and mail it, drop it off, or fax it to the museum's registrar.
Please note that if you provided proof of age when establishing your Family
Account, you do NOT need to do so again.
For the best chance of getting into the camp(s) of your choice, we highly recommend that
you create your Family Account well in advance of camp registration and use the online
registration system.
You may also register in person at the Randall Museum, at McLaren Lodge in Golden Gate Park, or at
other selected Recreation
& Park facilities throughout the city. For walk-in registration, you may pay by Visa,
Mastercard, check, money order, or cash with exact change. There are no exceptions to the
requirement to create a family account and provide proof of your child's date of birth.
Completed camp applications received by mail or fax will be processed by our registrar Tuesdays
through Fridays, depending upon availability. Sorry, we cannot accept camp
registrations by fax or telephone.
- Day camps meet Monday-Friday for two weeks. Partial attendance is not permitted.
Camp starts at 9:45 am and ends at 3 pm. Extended care is available from 9 am to 5 pm for an
additional fee.
Each camp day includes two structured classes, supervised play time, and a lunch break.
Structured activities vary from session to session; offerings this year include ceramics, mural
painting, robotics, marine science, woodworking, circus, archery, tennis, and more.
